Soccer

As of this season I am officially a soccer Mom. Even if they are only toddlers, I still feel so old knowing I have kids old enough to participate in sports. Jackson wasn't quite old enough to play this year but they went ahead and let us sign him up so Madison and him could play a season on the same team. There first scheduled game ended up getting cancelled due to the torrential storms we were experiencing (not really but it seemed like it.) So we ended up being on our cruise for their actual first game but Ryan's parents were able to take them and they got some good photos as well as some good practice with their motivational coaching skills. Since then Ryan and I have enjoyed watching, bribing, and at times even playing with them. I quickly realized that I am a bit too aggressive and not the quiet sit on the side line kind of parent. When Madison and Jackson were both crying that they didn't want to play...Madison because they weren't sharing the ball and Jackson just because it was the thing to do I guess. I took hold of one of their hands and Ryan had the other and we drug them around the field (I didn't pay for bench warmers) They ended up having a lot of fun but I guess some of the parents complained because the next day we got a mass email reminding parents to stay on the side lines. Oops! But it worked the kids have loved it since. I think Madison is more into the cheering she gets from the fans and Jackson is into making sure he has the ball at all times. This past week was the best, Madison scored a couple of goals and Jackson had 4 or 5 not all for his team but hey he was all over that ball. I felt bad because Ryan was on call and missed it but hopefully he will be on fire again next week. Wow that boy can be aggressive. Here is some pics. of all the fun...

I've got some great action photos but haven't uploaded them yet so stay tuned...

This is how Bryton feels about the hour of mass chaos.

Cute! I love the pics. I would feel the same way about paying for bench warmers. Love that you and Ryan went and pulled them around the field. And I love they sent an email about it!

They look so stinkin' cute in their soccor gear! That sounds so fun and that is great that they can be on the same team this year!
All six kids in Chris' fam played soccor and his Dad coaches HS, so I'm pretty sure I'll be a soccor mom too sooner or later! :)
