A sad farewell...

Although it is Halloween this isn't a holiday post it is just some things that I have been meaning to get on the blog but haven't managed to find any time to do it until now. Hopefully the actual Halloween post will debut some time before Thanksgiving! First off we have had a few sad weeks around our house as we had to send Grandma back home to Utah. Mom we miss you so much...it was so nice to have a maid, a chef, a seamstress, a babysitter, someone to do numerous loads of laundry a day, someone to shop with, a psychologist to listen to and solve problems and concerns but most of all a Mom a Grandma and a best friend! My Mom will probably never read this post so I think it is mostly for me but I hope she knows how much we love and appreciate her. She has made so many sacrifices on our behalf and we certainly couldn't be where or who we are today if it wasn't for her and my Dad...so thank you! My parents are truly amazing people and I am so blessed to be their daughter! So thanks again Mom for all you did and continually do for us...we love you!

Next I wanted to say thanks to Beth and Cacey for the wonderful Halloween packages, we loved them! My kids are still talking about all the fun things you sent. It stinks being away especially for holidays but thanks for making things a little easier for all of us! We love you...

Also thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Wade for this awesome package. The kids thought it was Christmas already and I loved the stuff for Bryton. Everything was so appreciated we sure love and miss you guys and look forward to your visit this week! :)

This is our families attempt at carving pumpkins. With Ryan's busy schedule and with our kids short attention span our family nights have been cut down to about 20 minutes(for everything...lesson, activity, etc.)so this is about as creative as we could get in getting our pumpkin decorated in that amount of time!

Jackson had more fun trying on the parts then he did putting them on the pumpkin!

The kids weren't to interested in pictures so after several attempts this is the best we could get but they were sure proud of their pumpkin witch!

Oh, I am so sorry your mom had to leave. She was so nice to stay for so long. And you family is so nice to send packages to your kids. Really. And I love the idea of the potato head pumpkin. After our attempt last year at carving pumpkins we just did foam faces on ours. I couldn't handle carving again! Your kids are cute and I am glad you updated your blog! I wish you lived closer so we could go crazy together!

Your mom is so sweet and still looks so young. I love the pumpkin pic. It is tough carving the faces. I let Dave do it this year. We had some fun with William's face. Dave tried to make a tongue and then decided to put some of the pumpkin guts hanging out of his pumpkin. It was nasty!

Looking forward to the Halloween post:)

I'm so sorry your Mom had to leave! But I'm glad you got to keep her for so long. :) Madison and Jackson are getting bigger all the time... they are adorable. I love the Halloween pj's and their pumpkin is sure cute! What a good idea. I hope that things are good with Bryton and that he's letting you get some sleep at night. Take care Sare and we'll be watching for your Halloween pics!

Love all the awesome pictures. It is so fun to read about what you are doing. Blogging is so fun. I really need to get your mother into it. It is such a great way to journal and show off the latest moments in your lives.
Thanks for sharing. Love, Aunt LeAnn
