Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Thanks to Mimi's Cafe we did too...Ryan got his long awaited turkey dinner and I got spaghetti..what a way to celebrate the big day! It's never fun being away from family on the holidays but Ryan was able to get off a bit early (but only because he went in to the hospital at 3:30 in the morning to round on his patients). He was pretty tired all day as you can imagine but it was nice just relaxing around the house and then going out to dinner. I think Ryan was bummed but I was not about to attempt making a huge turkey dinner for just us...maybe next year? And with Ryan home I was even able to get a full exercise in without stopping for the needs of my children. I would have taken the holiday off but after reading all of my friends posts about running and exercise I felt to guilty so I did get out for a run, well jog. Man... my kids got a lot heavier since last time I took them in the jogger stroller. I guess it didn't help that I was pretty out of shape myself.
This picture has no relation to Thanksgiving but here is a fall picture of Texas.
So I had this great idea one night when Ryan got home to take the kids on a hike to see the changing leaves since they never were able to witness a "true" autumn in Arizona. Well, after driving for 40 minutes this is the best we could do. Ryan quickly reminded me that there are no mountains in Texas well,I knew that but surely there are rolling hills. Nope...no hills either. I guess Ryan was right just this once but he was a good sport to go along, he even hiked down a ravine to get the only red leaf we saw on our little hike. The kids loved collecting leaves in their bags (Jackson never really did catch on he just liked picking up the gross brown ones off the ground) and Ryan couldn't have been more excited to spend his early day with us looking for rolling hills. :)
This is another random fall picture.
My kids love apples and even more than that they love the fact they can open the fridge by themselves and get the apples out. They have this habit of taking a few bites and then leaving the rest of the apple so I started just putting them back in the fridge to be eaten later. One morning I woke up and found this on the self in the fridge. I asked Madison who's apples they were and she told me they were Jackson's and hers from the previous night. I picked up the one on the right and said, "who's is this," Madison replied, "it's mine I was saving it for breakfast." Finances have been tight but were not really eating apple cores....yet:)

Happy Thanksgiving Cuz! Love the fact that you all went out to eat That would've been ideal for us, too. We had no one this year to celebrate with, so I cooked, but now I regret it since we are eating Thanksgiving dinner over and over for every meal. It's getting old!
Love the picture of your cute family. I think you look great after having your third. I know how tough it is finding the time to workout.Lately my kids have been joining me. William loves yoga. Kaitlyn loves the aerobics, because hse gets to jump up and down.
Keep it up, you'll feel better for it:)
Love, Cousin Tiff
I think that is the optimal choice for Thanksgiving-going out to eat. That way you aren't stuck cooking all day and everyone can eat whatever they want. Perfect! that picture is cute of the fam. You look good. I think it is a lot harder to run when you are pushing kids, so you get extra points/calories for doing it! Love the apple thing too!
