V-Day Weekend

Happy belated Valentines Day! Hope everyone enjoyed the day. Instead of just a day we had a weekend celebration due to the chronic illnesses our kids have had. To recap the weekend, Maddie and Jax were feeling a bit better so on Friday night we headed out to our ward for the annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser and silent auction that Ryan was in charge of. The food wasn't the greatest but they had some great prizes they were auctioning off. Including; round trip tickets on Southwest (I was holding out for these but they ended up going for a lot more than I had.) luggage sets, athletic event tickets, perfumes, clothes, etc. there really was some good stuff. We came away with a bag and Dallas Zoo tickets for the family. Not to exciting but all that our wallet could afford this year. :) I was so excited to have Ryan off for a holiday and was looking forward to being able to get out with the kids but that night Bryton came down with this horrible stuff that everyone is catching. The poor kid just can't get a break. He and I were up until 4:45 A.M. when he finally gave in and slept a little so when I got up Saturday morning Ryan and the kids were making breakfast. It was a nice surprise and a fun way to start the day. We decided to spend the day at home so we made some sugar cookies and just hung out. Sunday I finally felt like I could put Bryton down long enough to make dinner so we had a little V-day dinner for the kids. (They are so easily entertained.) Despite their sickness I think they had a great few days. They loved getting their Valentines and were so excited for the packages so thanks everyone from home!

Oh, I am sorry your kids are sick. Poor kids and more so, poor you. Sick kids are so hard.

I am glad you still had some celebrations for V Day. If I were up until 4:45 I wouldn't have made it to breakfast. You are amazing!

Your kids are so cute...Oh and how did you make that DARLING pineapple? Do you have some special gadget that carves it like that? Hopefully you didn't do it by hand...
