Getting ready for the festivities...
Due to the time restraint of Ryan's crazy schedule or maybe just our pure laziness this is our families rendition of pumpkin carving. Maybe one day our kids will actually get to witness the "insides" of a pumpkin but for now they are loving the Mr. Potato Head version.
Final product with Dad's supervision.
Final product when Dad's at work.

We were off to our Ward party.
I think Ryan and I get an award for most original costume. I really wanted to dress up this year in a family theme but the kids had ideas of their own and after pricing costumes for Ryan and I we realized it wasn't in our budget for this year. Ryan had just finished a 30 hour call with no sleep so he was quite the sport to even go along with the whole stay in your scrubs idea anyway.
The kids had a great time eating hot dogs, playing games, and trick or treating.
There was even a costume contest and Madison won! She was pretty excited about that.
And then...
There was Madison's school party...
I can't get the cute pictures of her class to transfer :( But they all looked way cute in their costumes and they had a great time decorating pumpkins, frosting cookies, eating treats, and playing games.
The actual day...
On Halloween we had one of my good friends and her family over for dinner and then went back to their house for desert and trick or treating. We had a great time, like always we missed our families but it is nice to have some good friends to celebrate with!
Our little "not scary" witch. Madison really wanted to be a princess again but I talked her into being a witch after we couldn't find a Tinker Bell costume. She was worried she had to be scary to be a witch but I think it all turned out ok.
Jackson picked this out all by himself and hasn't taken it off since.
Our cute little giraffe!
Trick or Treating. The weather was awesome no one even needed a jacket!
The after...
Just one more picture.
Sneaking some treats! Been doing that ever since.
First sucker.
Bedtime...

Everyone looks sooo cute! From their darling costumes (I was cracking up at Jackson - that is one awesome super hero!) to Madison's super cute school Halloween outfit all the way to their adorable, festive PJs...you went all out! Looks like you had a great time.
That is my kind of pumpkin carving - mess free! Where did you find those darling Halloween potato head pieces? Very very cute!
That giraffe costume is my favorite. I love to watch them walk in it and the little tail sways back and forth - priceless!! They all look so cute! I tried to talk Kenley into being a witch too - I didn't win :) Madison looks so cute! Your boys look adorable too. I know I say this all the time, but I can't believe how fast they are growing up! So Ryan is a trooper to go to the party after a 30 hour shift - gotta love em'!
Way cute! And I do think you and Ryan get the prize for most creative! But really you guys get the prize for the post 30 hour call and even getting dressed up at all! Amazing!
I had so much fun reading your blog today and looking at all the darling pictures of your sweet family. It was so fun to see you for a few moment at the family open house.
Love, Aunt LeAnn
