Winter Fun

I am starting to think that catching up is so overated! It is now approaching the end of February and I am yet to post pics. of Christmas...sheesh! I keep reminding my self it is all for a good cause but I am starting to feel a bit overwhelmed. To add to my grief as I am reminicsing through the many photos I have of all the fun we had in Utah I am realizing I am missing photos! I have no idea what happened but it is making me sick thinking about which ones are gone. You would think with the literally hundreds that I took how on earth would I ever remember but some of the ones I can't find are of the kids making their first snowman. My only hope is that Ryan's parents were the ones helping the kids and Grandma takes great pictures so I am hopeful we can steal some of hers. With that being said here is the only snow pictures I have.... :(

Growing up in Arizona and now living in Texas the kids never get to experience snow. We do make it up to Utah for Christmas each year but we never have adaquate clothing to send our kids out to brave the weather. This year (we still didn't have the proper attire) but I decided they needed the experience so out they went! They had so much fun, despite the red toes and fingers they had to be forced in on many occasions. Jackson loved helping Grandpa shovel, and they both had the time of their lives at the Wade's making "Arnold" the snowman. My sister Cacey, her kids, Ryan, and my Dad took the kids tubing a few days before Christmas. I took one for the team and stayed warm indoors with Bryton.

My Dad is quite the trooper...not only did he give in to the pressure and head down the hill on a tube he ended up spending the night in the ER. After flying off his tube and driving himself home it took about two hours to convince him to go to the hospital for some X-rays. He finally gave in only to find out he had broken four of the vertebrae in his back. What a way to spend Christmas! We all felt aweful but are grateful he was ok and is making a great recovery. Luv ya Dad!

I can't believe your dad broke his back. Poor guy. Love the snow pics. You should have come and borrowed ALL our snow clothes. I would have had some to fit all of them!
