No I didn't get these beautiful flowers for Mother's Day, but since I am once again behind in blogging I thought this would make an appropriate post for the picture. Much has changed around our little home over the last month, my nice lesiure days of hanging out with the kids and having nothing to do most of the time has come to a hault for the most part. I have gone back to work and just finished up orientation, the same weekend I finalized all that I got a new church calling. I am now in with the Young Women which is a lot of fun but very time consuming and also takes me out of the house and away from my family. To avoid boring you all with the details my life can now be summed up as most of yours....BUSY! None of this would be that overwhelming but as you all know Ryan is not home much which makes things tricky. Luckily I got a very flexible job and only work one or two days a week for a few hours when Ryan gets home. Many of the decisions we have made this past month have been extremely difficult for me but I can truly say once again we have been SO blessed and through this whole experience we have certainly witnessed the Lord's hand in our lives. Back to the flowers....Ryan brought them home on a Monday morning after work. He was on call Sunday and the kids were difficult and to top it off I had a job interview Monday and he knew how emotional I was about going back to work. (So thanks Ry, I love them!) Really I love being a nurse and I am enjoying what I am doing but I hate leaving my kids even if it is with their Dad. :) I know I probably have issues but I just love being a Mom (most days) and don't want to miss out on any little thing. That being said....fast forward a few weeks and I had a great Mother's Day thanks to these guys...
This little guy was loving his first experience with corn on the cob!
I hope you all had a great Mother's Day. I am so grateful for my Mom and Ryan's Mom and all of our Sister's, for the wonderful examples they are to me of righteous women and amazing Mother's. I am also grateful for the constant reminder of my three kids as to what a joy and blessing being a Mother is. I love this quote from Sister Hinckley as it truly expresses my desires as I attempt to lead my family through this journey of life...
"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp.
I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing my neighbor's lawn.
I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children.
I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone's garden.
I want to be there with the children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder.
I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."
It was a great weekend and reminder to celebrate what I should celebrate everyday...the joys of being a MOM!

Wow. You are a good mom. I love getting away from my kids...
I hope the job continues to go well. Thats the greatest thing about being a nurse. You can do anythin and have a schedule that works!
You are verry busy!! Good for you for being willing to go back to work, I would have a verry hard time as well, (and probably not to willing) hope all continues to go well!
You have been busy! I'm sure going back to work will be tough but maybe it will help you transition as the kids start school, etc. How great that you get such a flexible schedule. I'm glad you had a great Mother's Day ~ you are such a cute mom!
I LOVE that quote by Sister Hinckley too...what an amazing woman and what a wonderful example!
That sounds so busy Sare! I so empathize with the calling thing - I am back in YW too and it's sure time consuming. You are such a great Mom! Don't feel guilty for a couple days a week of working...I know - easier said than done! :)You are lucky to have a great & flexible career to back you up...just remember that it's so temporary & you are still blessing your family by doing it. :)
