Christmas

It's now March and I am STILL not caught up with these posts. As I am now getting farther and farther behind I am wondering if this task will ever be accomplished. I have thought about giving up and just fast forwarding to the present as most everyone doesn't really care about what happened three months ago but then again I guess this is for my little family so bare with me on this one.

For the record...we did have a great weekend(minus the earthquake in Chile, as it has been so devastating not to mention Ryan's parents are on a cruise. We have been worried sick about them, but have contacted the cruise line and they are ok but I am sure will have some stories to tell.)We took the kids to a movie on Friday, Saturday Ryan and I saw Avatar...finally after hearing so much about it. Then Saturday night we met up with some friends for a game night. I think we have finally found ourselves a great babysitter to replace the one that moved and there was not hair cutting incidents this weekend so I maybe....just maybe it won't be another six months before we got out again :)Now for a little flash in the past....

Christmas '09

I have now mentioned a million times that we were so excited to be home with family for the holidays but unfortunately we all got the stomach flu! We were able to celebrate Christmas Eve with everyone and without knowing share all of our germs....sorry. We put the kids to bed late on Christmas Eve and then started getting things ready for the big guy's arrival. We were up until nearly 3 A.M. and then Jackson woke up around 4:15 throwing up. Then one by one and sometimes more we all managed to get sick....and it went through both of our entire families! Christmas day we didn't see anyone, Ryan went to his parents that evening but I stayed with the kids. We didn't do much celebrating for a few days but we made up for it when we could.

Waiting to come down the stairs...

Jackson was quite the trooper and luckily no one else got sick until later in the afternoon, so we were able to enjoy a few hours.

Santa found us at Grandma's...

Presents...

Opening presents from great-grandparents in quarantine as we missed all the celebrating.

Late family Christmas pic.

Christmas at Ryan's parents....two days later on the way to taking Ryan to the airport. At least we were all well and able to celebrate even if it was only for a few hours.

I think his face says it all.....
