The results are in...

I'm a little late but the results are in for both Madison's 4yr. check up and Bryton's six (seven) month check up. And yes, we still managed to tip the charts with our super low percentages! (Why can't I do that?) So as of March 27th...

Madison:

Height: 38 and 3/4 inches 30%
Weight: 31.2 lbs 10-20%

*Actually these percentages are the highest she has yet received*

Bryton:

Height: 25 1/4 inches 10%
Weight: 14.6 lbs. 5%

*Still struggling....but some improvement*

Can I just add that taking three kids to the Pediatrician by yourself is less than fun. Madison did pretty good with the whole exam and even the hearing test but she was less than cooperative with the vision screening. She wouldn't say a word but Jackson was standing next to her and I couldn't keep him quiet...he should have it all down for next year. Then to top off the excitement I had promised Madison that she didn't have to have shots this visit because according to my little immunization schedule she didn't. But I was way off...she ended up getting four! Poor kid was not happy. After eight immunizations and two screaming kids I was ready to leave and then Jackson the only one still smiling shut his finger in the door...let's just say I was so glad to leave.

Here is some highlights of the conversations held at our house this past week:

We had a family home evening on Heaven and being Children of God...Madison was quick to understand the concepts we were trying to teach, but Jackson not so much. He is still insisted that everyone else is a Child of God and he is a child of Shrek! (Ryan thinks he may be on to something.) Then there is Madison. Ryan came home from work last week and was less than thrilled because the kids had made a huge mess with their toys. As he is lecturing them on how to play with one thing at a time in order to avoid such disasters Madison (as she is carrying a handful of toys upstairs) responds, "Dad, maybe you should just go sleep in Bryton's crib." Ryan then asks why. "Because you are just acting like a big baby!") Ya, we all got a good laugh at that one.

I feel your pain. Your three are closer in age than mine and I barely get by. It's a good think they are so cute. I love what Madison said to Ryan about being a baby.

Your kids are getting so "big!" Dr. appts are not fun, escpecially when you have more than one kid!

Love Madison's comment to Ryan about sleeping in the crib. Where do kids come up with this stuff?!

Arn't 4 year old phrases the best! WE're getting a few these days with Hailey too! Hailey weighed 38 pounds in Feb, and Whitney (19 months) weighed 24! I guess my kids are packing on the weight-LOL! Glad to see that things are going well. I hate going to the doctor too-on one hand you want to get all the kids DONE with on 1 trip-but sometimes that's worse when they all have to get shots! It never ends does it?! Take care.
